Communities are banding together to support those in need.
Tongala sporting clubs have partnered together to organise a fundraiser for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.
The whole community is invited to watch tonight's Big Bash game between the Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Thunder will be on the big screen at Tongala's Rec Reserve oval.
"We're hoping to scope to the broader community, so if you're not involved in the sporting clubs ... you're welcome," Tongala Football Club's vice president Daniel Cox said.
Everyone is invited to bring their chair, rug or beanbag to sit and enjoy the game, while raising much needed funds.
Donation tins will be available, as well as a bar, barbecue, face painting and ice creams, with all proceeds donated directly to the appeal.
The Football Netball, Cricket, Swimming and Tennis clubs worked together to organise the event.
All clubs were willing to help, knowing the funds were going to a good cause.
"It's really imperative we do our little bit," Mr Cox said.
"It might not be a lot, but a few thousand dollars here and there will definitely make a difference somewhere."
The game will start at 6pm.
