$125 million expansion plan for Fonterra's Stanhope cheese plant
Fonterra has unveiled a $125 million expansion plan for its Stanhope cheese plant.
It is part of a $165 million investment to upgrade seven plants in Victoria and Tasmania.
Victorian Employment Minister Ben Carroll said the investment will create about 36 ongoing jobs.
The Stanhope cheese plant currently produces around 45,000 metric tonnes of cheese each year and the expanded plant will boost that capacity by 35,000 tonnes, creating local jobs and supporting Victorian farmers.
