The man has been charged for ram raids in Moama and Wakool

A 33-year-old Deniliquin man has been arrested in relation to a number or ram raid offences that occurred across the Murray River Police District earlier this year.

Police attached to the robbery and serious crimes squad, alongside members of the Murray River Police District made the arrest this week.

Inspector for the Murray River Police District Paul Huggett said the man was charged with a number of offences, including:

- 2x aggravated break, enter and steal ram raid offences;

- discharge of an unauthorised firearm; and,

- 4x stolen motor vehicles.

The ram raid offences include the theft of an ATM from the Moama Marketplace using a bobcat, and a ram raid at the Wakool Services Club.

The man has been denied bail and will appear at Deniliquin Magistrate's Court on October 8th.

"Investigations are still ongoing in relation to accomplices," Insp. Huggett said.

"Police again call for any witnesses or persons with information to contact Crimestoppers on 1800 33 000."
