Rains falls in Echuca and Kyabram, while Deni and Hay miss out
Farmers pleading for rain have received a mixed bag across the region in the past 48 hours.
Echuca fared the best, with 11mm falling to 9am this morning, while Hay miss out completely.
In the past two days 18.2mm has fallen at Kyabram, 13mm at Echuca, 6.8mm at Yarrawonga, 2.6mm at Deniliquin, 1mm at Tocumwal and nothing in Hay.
It has been a bleak first seven months in the region, with below average rainfall in each month for Hay, Deni and Echuca.
In Echuca 127.9 mm has fallen until the end of July, which is just over half of what the region can expect in an aveage year, which is 241mm to the end of July.
The story gets worse as it travels north. Deniliquin has received 80.4mm to the end of July, when 230.2 is a normal year to the end of July, while in Hay just 59/6mm has fallen when 216.3 is the aveage to July 31.
