Two men appeared in court today

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a second man in relation to a hit and run collision in Echuca in March.

The 34-year-old Epsom man was charged with accessory after the fact, attempt to pervert the course of justice, perjury, and destruction of evidence.

He was remanded in custody overnight.

He appeared in Bendigo Magistrate's Court today, and was remanded in custody.

He will attend court next week for a bail application.

A 23-year-old man was previously arrested in relation to the incident.

He was charged with negligently causing serious injury, failing to remain at the scene of a collision and render assistance and dangerous driving causing serious injury.

He also appeared in court today, but his matter was adjourned until September.

The incident on March 10th saw a male pedestrian struck by a motorcycle just after midnight on the walking track between McKenzie St and Campaspe Esplanade.

The 39-year-old victim suffered head injuries and was airlifted to Royal Melbourne Hospital.
