Moama cricket club nets $100,000 in government funding
Moama cricketers will receive new training nets after a $100,000 grant from the NSW Government.
Member for Murray Austin Evans welcomed the cash, which will help replace the existing steel net structure with a soft netting system, expand the bowling run up area, replace synthetic turf and install a safety net.
“This project will vastly improve the quality and safety of Moama Cricket Club and see the facility become fully compliant with Cricket Australia guidelines,” Mr Evans said.
“The club is starting a women's cricket team, and this project will help attract new players and boost participation in the sport.”
